Fajada Butte

Fajada Butte is an eons-old landmark that is a past and current beacon leading travelers into the east entrance of the 11 mile long Chaco Canyon—the site of 13 amazing stone cities dating back to over a thousand years ago. For a months, the butte was our favorite morning and evening sight, as scene from the back porch of the ranger cabin we stayed in as artists in residence.
